Second Chances chapter 6 (Toshiro x Reader)

Although you were acting all tough, it was eating you from the inside. You were broken like before but built again on stronger foundations. You tried to act strong but just couldn't.

As the new 3rd seat of the 11th squad you had a lot of paperwork to do. Since your captain loved to fight and your Lieutenant goes with him all paperwork is in your hands. TT^TT

One day Zaraki had this mischievous smile planted on his face. Unexpectedly he and his lieutenant, Yachiru, did their paperwork. Leaving you at peace. You were about to leave when your captain called.

"OI, (L/N)."

"Hai?"

"I need you to help out in the tenth division, since their lieutenant won't help I their paperwork."

"But-"

"no buts! Go!" He seemed angered so you ran.

You just sat there awkwardly doing the tenth division's paperwork ALONE WITH THE CAPTAIN. There was a heavy silence around you so you sped up wanting to leave.

~hours later~

You finally finished and placed the paperwork beside HIS table.

"Hitsugaya-taichou, I'll be taking my leave now." You said before turning to the door. It was dark. You both spent hours doing paper work.

You sighed and was about to leave until he grabbed your wrist. You faced him and he looked at you with soft eyes. He gulped and said "Can we talk? Please?"

You sat on the couch while he sat on the other side of it. "(Y/N)... I'm so sorry." He apologized. He went in front of you and knelt down.. "I'm so so so sorry." He just kept apologizing... You were starting to cry.. He continued apologizing. "Stop it!" You yelled. His head shot up and looked at you. "Toshiro... This isn't you, stop it. *sniff* " "but, all this was my fault... I-I don't know what to do... I-I STILL LOVE YOU (Y/N)!" You were shocked, and he held your hands. "All the time, every day, you were the only thing in my mind... I thought I'd never see you again until Rangiku told me she saw you in Rukongai and you had reiatsu. That gave me hope. I know you might not forgive me. But please... Give me a second chance..."  He said. "I've been doing everything I can to forget you. To stop loving you, you know that?" You said. And he was having a deeper frown. "From the day you left, to the day I died, to the day Rangiku found me, until now. I've spent five years forcing myself to stop loving you." You paused and looked at him. His head was down. You lifted it up with your finger under his chin and smiled at him, looking him straight in the eye. "But," there was a long pause.. "I failed."

He smiled at you and hugged you. You finally made up with the one you love. He pulled you into a kiss and you kissed back. That was the touch you missed so much. The kiss was full of longing and desire. You pulled away, he placed his forehead on top of yours. You just noticed he was on top of you on the couch. You laughed. You lightly hit his chest "pervert." You and him laugh and you gave him a peck on the lips. "I'm leaving.."

You stood to leave but he hugged you from behind placing his head on your shoulder. "Nope. You're staying." He says in a childlike manner. "But, I'm tired! I wanna sleep!" You complain.

"Then sleep with me!" He suggested. "...." "PERVERT!" You said hitting him in the head and running to your barracks.

Sadly for you he was a captain... Meaning... He mastered shunpo. ~3~ damn.
He shunpo~ed in front of you. "KONBAWA 3rd-seat San!" And you're kidnapped....

You were in the captains room with Toshiro and you were too tired to even argue with him so you just slept instead.

EPILOGUE

3 years later

You were now living in the 10th squad's captain's room. Apparently that certain captain won't allow you to leave his sight besides going to work.

Currently you were fixing your shihakusho getting ready to once again drown yourself in paper work. Arms were snaking to your waist and a head rested at your shoulder. "Babe.." Toshiro said. "Can we take the day off please?"

"You know I can't do that. If we do we'd drown in papers tomorrow." You replied

"Let Madarame do it. I'll make sure Rangiku does the paperwork." he said.

You gave in besides it's not all the time the your beloved Shiro-chan does this.  When he heard your reply he smiled. Squeezing you and leading you to the courtyard.

You were sitting, your back against a tree, and his head on your lap. Silence overcame the both of you. You were playing with his hair and he closed his eyes. You loved it when he does that. It's the only time that he looks his age. So relaxed, so young, and so vulnerable. You smiled.

"Babe?" He called

"Yeah?"

"You know I love you right?"

"Of course. And I love you too. By the way, you call me babe I don' have anything to call you." You say pouting

"You could always call me yours" he says grinning. He was sitting in front of you now.

"Corny." You say before pulling him into a long passionate kiss

You broke it for air and he gave you something. "Will you give this corny man the honors of becoming his?"

You were dumbstruck.

"No."

He looked shocked. Devastated even.

"W-why?"

"I was yours to begin with. Forever and always." Then you kissed him again

3 months later~~~

Today was an important day in Sereitei. Everyone was gathered at the 10th Divisions courtyard. Even Ichigo's human friends were there. The ceremony was starting. You and Toshiro were clad in a sky blue kimono his was plain, but yours has a flower pattern your hair was pulled in to a loose bun (imagine it like sode no shirayuki's hair)

"Shall we start this ceremony?" Yamamoto said.

Silence then ensued and he began.

"We are here this day to witness the binding and joining of Hitsugaya Toshiro and (FULL NAME). If anyone wishes to oppose to this please speak up now or forever hold your peace."


~silence~

"Then so be it."

(note: I  suck at wedding scenes.)

"Please say your vows."

Toshiro: "(y/n), please take this ring, as a sign of my love and passion for you. I will be always here for you no matter what. This ring is carved from Hyourinmaru'sice from my Bankai. It will stay in your hand as long as you love me and only will disappear when I die. It means that my life will be devoted to only you."

You were crying.

"Toshiro, -he scowls you laugh- please take this ring, as a sign of my love and passion for you. I never ever expected this to happen. I guess life has its surprises. And by the way, I can't think straight right now. I'm still in a daze but there is one thing I'm sure of and that's 'I love you and only you. Forever and always.'"

You said your i do's and cherry blossoms were flying everywhere.
You were gonna start a new chapter in your life, and you were glad it was with him.
